we will be open from monday-saturday. monday-friday we will be open 12pm-6pm. on saturday, we will be open 12pm-3pm. come by and pick up some goodies.

everything is 50% off. i am also selling a stampmaker from teresa collins and a cricut expressions.

hey guys.

posting today to let you know that the store will be closing permanently. this is a decision that has been tough to make. however, it is one that had to be made.

i know that this is a shock to most of you. it has not yet sunk in for me either, as the store was not supposed to be so temporary.

i want to let you all know that it is not a financial problem or problems causing us to close the store. the decision was one that shane and i made based on personal reasons. i will not be answering any questions involving the reasons why we are closing the store. i hope that you will respect shane and i's privacy and understand.

right now, the store is closed. we will re-open on monday, june 27th. from monday, june 27th to saturday, july 2nd the entire store will be 50% off. we will also have some furniture and paper racks for sale.

don't worry all of you girls gone crafty attendees. we are still attending girls gone crafty. we will bring anything that we have left and it will all still be 50% off. we will also bring a few new lines and goodies ordered especially for the event.

i hope that you all can understand that life changes each day and we have to adjust our careers and plans based on what is best for our families. i am sad that this chapter will soon be over. however, i am trusting the amazing god that i serve and i am hoping that better things are to come.

thank you all for your love and support and i hope to see you all spending tons of moneys at the end of the month.

Reminders!!

Hello peeps!!!

Just posting to remind you of a few things.

I head out for New Orleans tomorrow morning. I will be there all weekend for one of my besties' weddings. My mom will be here to greet you guys tomorrow but we WILL BE CLOSED ON SATURDAY the 21st.

I hitch a plane very very early Monday morning and head out for Jamaica with my amazing, crazy family. I am leaving my phone and coputer at home. Determined to actually make this a vacation. So, if you e-mail I will not be responding until I get home.

We WILL BE CLOSED ON TUESDAY the 24th. Taylor graduates that day so if you come into the store next week be sure to congratulate her. She will be here all next week. We will have our regular business hours Wednesday-Saturday.

Looking forward to getting away and clearing my head. Looking forward to seeing my husband for the first time since we got married. Looking forward to seeing what my crazy family will get themselves into in Jamaica.

hello. happy hump day. not much to report today store wise. it has been pretty quiet around here lately. we have received almost all of our winter cha shipments. we are just waiting for rocketage from october afternoon. it should arrive within the next couple of weeks, but, you know how that goes. i have been busy, at the store, working on customer books that are to be given as senior gifts, so, that's about all that's been happening at Inspire.

anyways, i have been dying to create a new mini album. i prepped an old book a while back in order to use it for a mini. lately, it has been calling my name. sadly, i have way too much going on right now to sit down and scrap just for fun. every single day on my calendar is filled to the brim and i am definately looking forward to hitting the beaches of jamaica in a couple of weeks. i am leaving my phone and computer at home and plan to, hopefully, just sleep on the beach all week.

since i have been dreaming of mini albums lately, here are a few to inspire you.

please don't forget that we will be closed saturday, the 21st and tuesday, the 24th. i am sorry if this inconveniences any of you in any way. on the 21st i will be out of town for a wedding, taylor is celebrating class day, and everyone else who helps out around inspire is busy. also on the tuesday, i will be in jamaica, taylor is graduating, and all of our other helpers were unavailable. hope you understand.

happy mom day!!!

good morning everyone.

happy mother's day to all of the fab moms out there. even if you're not so fab, happy mother's day. lol. joke.

anyways, my cousin, Candice, and i have been some busy little bees here at the store the past few nights. we have been so delirious working into the wee morning hours working on lots of mother's day goodies for the ones we love.

here are a few of our projects.

first up, a frame that i spruced up for my mom. i made her a frame full of some of her favorite pics of us as children when i was about 15. she cried and loved it so much when i gave it to her. i made it at the beginning of my creative life so as the years went by i thought it was absolutely hideous. it hangs in my parents' room and everytime i go in there it drives me nuts. so, i decided to kidnap it this year and fix it up. my mom didn't want me to take it because it was full of her favorite pictures. i found a way to use lots of them though.

here's the frame.

for the background, i ripped and crumpled lots of old ledger paper.

so since i only used three pics in the frame, i decided to make my mom a tray from 7gypsies. i was going to do a mini album but after seeing my cuz's tray and much coaxing from her, i decided on the tray.

the last project that i did was a tray for my cuz kasi. (to learn more about her read the post below) i really hope she likes it.

my cuz candice or candy as i like to call her is just breaking into the creative world. she used to come to the store and just watch me scrap for hours. most of you may have met her at scrapfest. anyways, she wanted to make something special for her mom this year. she bought the printer's drawer by 7gypsies from the store and started collecting lots of little things to make her project. with a little help from me, she made this bomb diggity gift.

hope you enjoyed our projects. hope you all were able to put a personal touch on your gifts this year too. i must admit i LOVED making those trays. hope my moms and kasi love them. hope aunt corinthia loves candy's one too.

and now i must say happy mother's day to the one that holds my heart. the one that wipes my tears, picks me up, forces me to face myself and the world, knows my soul, puts me back together, fixes all the wrong, shows me the way, and lets me be me.

i have no idea how i would have lasted had you not been around. you are the MOST selfess person i know. which, makes you the BEST mom. you'll absolutely never ever know how much i love and adore you. thank you. happy mother's day momma.

Moms that Inspire part one

hello peeps. every now and again, i post some things to the store's blog that are not very store related. for the next few days, this will be the case.

mother's day is sunday and i, for one, think it is a very important day. i was blessed with an amazing mom and i don't think all the mother's days in the world would ever be enough to honor her.

i am also blessed because not only is my mom amazing, i have also had the honor of being surrounded by other incredible moms.

so, the name of the store is inspire and for the next few days, leading up to mother's day, i am going to post about some moms that *inspire* me.

today's post is about my beautiful cousin, kasi. i hate calling her my cousin because that seems so not personal enough. i consider her to be pretty much my sister from another mother. she is the mother to two of my beautiful godchildren, Madelyn (lulu) and Ella and my little handsome man, hayden.

here's to her.

she is selfless.

completely completely selfless.

she makes so many sacrifices for her babies.

she never complains about those sacrifices.

you would never even know they are sacrifices.

to her, they aren't.

it's for her babies.

she works hard.

i mean really, really hard.

busts her butt.

doesn't get enough credit for how hard she works.

not near enough credit.

long hours, lots of headaches, weekends, nights.

again, she never complains.

she loves big.

with her whole heart.

she doesn't have to tell you how much she loves her kids.

she doesn't show it through other things.

she just loves em'.

wholely.

fully.

without reservation.

without stipulation.

when she looks at them, you just see it.

i never see her get down.

she just does what she has to do for those babies.

loves being a mom.

wouldn't trade it.

has traded other things that she loved and wanted.

has done it without reservation.

because of them.

because it's about them.

is so patient.

i mean so stinking patient.

she doesn't snap for no reason.

she never degrades.

or hurts feelings.

she just breathes.

loves.

guides.

corrects.

occasionally talks through the oh so necessary clenched teeth.

keeps her cool when most would lose it.

she always makes the kids feel secure.

calms all of their fears.

soothes their nerves.

kisses bo bo's.

kisses lu lu's bo bo's a lot (she's a little clumsy).

reassures them.

wipes tears.

lets them know she is and always will be there.

isn't afraid to play.

or act silly.

laughs at their quirks.

laughs at their jokes.

plays.

let's go.

forgets the stresses when they want to play.

when they want to laugh.

she tries her hardest to keep a special relationship with each child.

to give each one time.

attention.

on top of everything else she has to do.

to get to know each one.

treats them each according to who they are.

what they need.

makes sure they are all feeling loved.

loves them each for who they are.

no what she wants them to be.

for all of their flaws.

all of their perfections.

all of their beauty.

through all of this, she manages to maintain a healthy, loving marriage.

seriously, a real one.

not a fake one.

not a show.

one of the healthiest i've seen.

she loves her husband.

supports him.

puts him in line. (when needed)

clings to him.

keeps up a home.

cooks. (often)

finds the time for stories.

and movies.

and special days with each baby.

she takes care of her family.

not in ways that are always fun.

or easy.

or what she wants.

and again, doesn't complain.

doesn't get down.

she's an amazing mom. she reminds me of my mom, a lot. and, in my opinion, that's an honor. she's so selfless. she has shown me that you can maintain a home a job and a healthy marriage and still be an awesome mom. she has shown me patience. she has inspired me to quit complaining. embrace the here and now. especially when u have babies. she has inspired me as a mom. she is truely, on of the best. i hope she knows that. she doesn't hear that enough. she's doing an amazing job. those kids are lucky. her husband is lucky. i am lucky to just have her in my life. i thank her for sharing her kiddos with shane and i. for allowing us to be such a big part of her life. their life. i love her to pieces.

New Lines!

hello ya'll!

some of the lovely scrapbooking companies out there are beginning to realease a few mid-season lines.

of course, the wonderful jenni bowlin has decided to do so. she is releasing some really really great stamps and a new paper line. i adore the stamps. here are just a few.

there are more in addition to these. but c'mon who doesn't love some awesome border stamps. ahhh the lace has me dying.

mrs. bowlin also realeased a new paper line. it is called Haven. i love the color scheme. i also love the way most of the papers have one side that is a print and one that is a huge image. i just really like this line. here's a peek at the paper.

so many options with cutting this one. journaling cards, border strips, and embellies. love this.

the bomb diggity sassafras also released a new line called Sunshine Broadcast. it is FABBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBULOUSSSSSSSSSS. i know i say this about every line but i just really really love this one. it is light and airy and so so pretty. i really dig it. here's a looksie.

oooooooooooooooooo. i gotta have this in my hands ASAP.

so get ur booties in here and spend some moola so that we can order these two new lines. u know u want em.

Mother's Day Project Ideas

Hey peeps!

Sunday is a very special day for most of the ladies in our lives. it is mother's day. in my opinion, it is a day that can not ever get the attention and respect that it deserves. my mom does and has done far more than we could ever give her credit for in just one holiday. i'm sure most of you feel the same way. how do you ever honor the one who has done it all?

every year for mother's day, i rack my brain to try and get a gift that is personal and useful. it is always hard to get exactly the right thing for someone who deserves so much more than i could ever give. my brothers, of course, just hand me their money and i am solo on picking out the gift. gotta love those boys! it just seems that for the years that i have made my mom something, she seems to love those gifts best. she cries and cries and shows everyone. i always try to get her something and then make a little something on the side.

i haven't made something in a while for her, so, this year, i am cooking up a couple of little projects. i am also hoping to make a little something for shane's mom and another mom that i look up to too! i already know what i will be creating but i scoured the internet to find some inspirational project ideas that would be perfect for mother's day. i thought it would be fun to share them with you!

for starters, you could always make a homeade card. it is quick, easy, and from the heart. something i am sure all moms would keep forever.

here are a few ideas.

you could also do just a regular scrapbook for mom filled with some awesome photos of her and her kiddos/grandkiddos.

here are some beautiful layouts that i love.

if you are not in the mood or don't have the time (go figure) for a large, standard scrapbook, a mini album is the perfect solution. i can usually finish one in a few hours. you can do it bragbook style so that she can carry it in her purse. or you could create one as a coffee table or office desk/shelf book. they are the perfect way for her to show off some of her favorite memories and the talent of the person creating it.

here are some great mini album ideas.

and if you are just not in the scrapbook kind of mood, there are always so many options for little home decor pieces that make great homeade gifts. the options are endless and the end result is always beautiful.

What's going on in May?

Hey you guys! Happy Tuesday. I am sure you are wondering, what's going on in May. Well, personally, Taylor and I have a pretty booked month. Taylor is graduating!!! I hope you are all applauding there at home. So, she has a month packed full of events. I am in a wedding out of town, have showers and parties to attend almost every weekend, and I am also looking forward to a week in Jamaica with my family and my boo. The reason that I am telling all of you this is because when you see that we are closed a couple of random days this month, it is because we are both busy and there was no one else available to work the store. So sorry for this inconvenience but life is sure to slow down a bit after May.

Also, I usually make our calendars in scrapblog and now they no longer exist. They have joined with another company and you have to pay for everything. C'mon i just wanna make the calendars for free. If anyone knows of websites similar to Scrapblog, please share.

So, with all of that nonsense said, here are the things going on in May.

Sunday, May 1st: Happy Birthday Taylor!!

Saturday, May 7th:
Yay! Happy National Scrapbook Day! In honor of our little holiday we are going to have a few things happening at the store. Join us from 10am-till to crop. We will be doing challenges and giveaways the whole day. There will also be some yummy goodies to eat and drinks to sip on. We will also have lots of little discounts every hour for our croppers. You know what to do. Call (985-227-9970) or email us (inspirescrapboutique@gmail.com) to sign up. The cost of the all day crop is $12. However, if you spend $25 in the store, your crop is free.

On Saturday, May 7th, we will also be having a Layout Madness Class. The cost of the class is $30. The class will be held from 6-8:30pm. You will complete 4 layouts in 2 1/2 hours. Each layout will feature a different scrapping style. You will also get to learn a few fun techniques with mists and other mediums. (Pictures coming soon)

Saturday, May 21st: Store Closed

Tuesday, May 24th: Store Closed. Taylor graduates! Congratulations!

That's what May looks like here at Inspire. I know I promised a Cupcake and Make n Take party but we just couldn't make it fit this month. We have already begun working on everything and we are looking forward to having one in June.

We are hoping to be able to have a few more crops and classes for the month of June. We look forward to you all making time to come out to the store and crop. We had such a blast at our crop this month. It is always the best when we get to spend time with such amazing people.

I hope that you all had a blessed Easter and were able to spend lots of time with family and friends.

hey you people. if you read my personal blog, you know that i have been a scrapping fool lately. i have just been feeling quite inspired. i think it's because i have had a little down time at the store lately and i have actually had time to scour the net and look at lots of creative blogs. there are some OOBER talented people out there. i have found like a million layouts that i love love love.

i feel like my creative style is morphing a bit right now. isn't that one of the best things about scrapbooking. you can go back through all of your layouts and they all form kind of a pattern. you can look back and tell when your style was changing. well i think i am at that place right now. usually i am a tons of paper layers very busy kind of gal. lately, i have been using tons of embellishments and trying to keep it a little simpler. i am always drawn to messy though and rarely ever like things very symmetrical.

anyways enough mumbo jumbo. you came here to get inspire-d right. well here are tons of layouts that i have been stuffing into my inspiration folder on the computer. enjoy!

i could so scraplift this. i love that sticker from sassafras and have been wanting to use it. i love the misting too. i am such a scaredy cat when it comes to misting though. i think it's a commitment problem. hehe.

been wanting to use the be our guest collection but i find it hard to make it fit my style. this layout rocks though.

love the mess of this. it just works.

ahhh. this is so the style that i love lately. simple but messy. and of course the misting adds so much. i gotta learn how to commit to misting.

really like the way it looks like the layout was done on the white cardstock and then put on top of all those layered papers. great effect.

love how this one has a grid but it doesn't look too symmetrical.

okay when i saw this one on the sassafras blog i went take out those number cards and have been trying like a fool to find a pic to use. i will be scraplifting this and i will not be apologizing for it. i really like this layout. a lot.

the next few layouts are from a designer jen jockish. she is definately one of my faves. she has a very messy style. i can pick out her work from anywhere. she throws things on the page and it never ends up looking busy. it is always so visually perfect. she designs for two peas and studio calico and i think october afternoon. anyways here are some of her layouts. you needa check her out if you like her style.

love love love the huge heart. i would never put a big ole heart on my layout but this one rocks.

love how she used stars, hearts, circles, and clouds. i usually stick to one shape on a layout but i needa get outta my box i guess.

oh god be still my heart. i just really really love this. so much going on but, to me, it doesn't look too busy and some how the picture still pops.

love the layering of all of the glitz stuff. love the ribbon bow too.

so there ya go. lots of inspiration to get your creative juices flowing. anyone else wanna go make something now? i know i do.

Hey peeps! it was an awesome weekend here at inspire. why? you may ask. well, because we had a great crop with some amazing ladies. definately, one of my favorite parts of this job is to be able to be around so many inspiring and awesome people. on saturday, we cropped till we dropped here at the store. we had so many awesome people come out to crop and i had a blast. we did some challenges. gave away some goodies and savings. and we chatted lots. i was even able to get lots of layouts done which you can check out on my blog www.ashmarie23.blogspot.com.

April Happenings.

Hey creative peeps!

April is going to be a little light here at Inspire as far as happenings go.

We will not be having any classes for the month of April.

We will be having one crop this month. On April 16th join us for a CROP TILL YOU DROP. We will start at 6pm and we will go until you can't go anymore. Come in your PJs and bring lots of snacks. The cost of the crop is $7. Call us or e-mail to sign up!

We will also be closed this Saturday, April 9th.

We will be closed Friday and Saturday April 22nd and 23rd for the Easter Holidays.

Okay so I just got an e-mail from one of our beloved scrapbooking companies with my order summary and saying that the order had shipped. Well, a lot of products were missing from this summary. I proceed to respond to the e-mail saying, I notice that this this this and this are missing. Please double check to be sure that there weren't any mistakes.

Here's the response I get:

We are very sorry but those items are on backorder and they will be shipping in mid/end of April. You will have to re-order.

Are you kidding me?? Please explain to me why the heck I spent the money that I did to attend CHA to be able to have "first dibs" on stuff. And, why yes, I would love to only put out the paper with no embellishments for a collection because everyone loves that.

So sorry to be a little unprofessional this morning but I have had enough. This is the fourth time this has happened from the orders placed at CHA and, if you ask me, it's pretty ridiculous.

So, kuddos to those companies who had your game face on at the show. Kuddos to those of you who actually have the product available that you promise. Kuddos to those of you who ship out CHA orders first. Just sayin!

So, I am still trying to place a few orders and check up on the ones that we haven't received yet. But, I am looking at other lines that I did not order at the show that I am thinking that I might now. I like this line called Portrait from Crate Paper. However, I am leary that it won't be a favorite of yours. Please vote in the comments section, yes or no for this line. It is more of a wedding themed line but it obviously can be used for many other creating purposes. Let me know if you think I should get it. Please vote! I need your opionions.

New Studio Calico

Hey Ya'll. We got in the new Studio Calico. Some of it didn't come in and probably won't (we won't discuss that) and some of it sold out at Scrpfest. Here's what we have left.

So that's what remains. We also have some of the mists left. We are out of most of the new colors but a couple remain. I will be re-ordering some of it soon.

And, last night I had the chance to do a little creating with the new Studio Calico. Here's the layout that I made:

Snapshots from Scrapfest

Well, we are home from Scrapfest and back to business as usual. Let's just say we had a blast but came home totally exhausted!!! It is so much work.I feel like I am just beginning to recover. Taylor and Candice joined me for the weekend as my little helpers and we had so so so much fun. My mom, Miss Jody (Taylor's mom), and Miss Meryl (Taylor's grandma) all came with us and we all roomed together. There were TONS of laughs and lots of girl talk and even a couple of tears.Of course, we drank way too much Starbucks and ate way too much bad food. (Note to self: Weight Watchers must begin again along with daily gym trips!) We just really had a great time. I was also able to meet some pretty amazing women with some pretty inspiring stories. That always reminds me why I love this business so much! Here are some snapshots from Scrapfest!

Our booth:

We got lots of compliments on the booth. Everyone loved our antiques and flea market treasures. I even got some offers on the stove, but, of course, did not sell it!!

Make n Takes:

Our Make n Takes were a hit. We did three different ones, one each day. Taylor was the Make n Take girl and she did an amazing job as usual. The last photo is one of the Make n Takes using Jenni Bowlin's muffin tin. I love it and want to make like 100for the apartment to put everywhere.

Like I said earlier, there was tons and tons of laughs and goofing off. Here are some photos when we became delirious.

Well, I am so glad that we are back to our little shop now. I am excited to see our usual customers and to get busy with a couple of little ideas for the store.

We still have a few spots open for Vera's class this Saturday. Also, we have lots of spots left for next weekend's crop and we really wanna see everyone so get a babysitter, grab a starbucks, and get to the store to crop your butts off.

Thank you so much to Taylor and Candice. Thanks for the help and support last weekend. I appreciate it so much!

Taylor, I would be lost without you. Thanks for helping me set up for so many hours and all you did at the show. I hope you are always with the store and me. I can't even begin to express my gratitude for everything that you do for Inspire. I hope you know how much I appreciate it all.

March Happenings

Hey guys. We are taking it a little light in March just because we are attending Scrapfest and it is a huge job. I am also hoping I will be swamped with placing orders when we return. I am hoping we sell a ton of stuff.

Here's a look at the March calendar:

We are packing up the store on March 8th to attend Scrapfest so we will be closed. We will also be closed March 9th-March 12th because we will be at Scrapfest. We will re-open on Tuesday, March 15th.

We are having a Handmade Madness Layout Class on Saturday, March 19th at 6pm. The class cost is $25. Join Vera to learn how to make some really precious flowers, pinwheels, and embellishments. These embellies are all over blogs and scrapbook mags and you can learn how to make them too! Plus, you get to play with lots of new Sassafras products.

You will complete two layouts filled with handmade embellishments. Check out the tab at the top for a class supply list.

On March 25th and 26th we will have a two-day crop. On Friday, March 25th you can crop from 11am-2am Saturday morning. On Saturday, March 26th you can crop from 10am-2am Sunday morning. If you sign up for both days, it's free. If you sign up for one day, the cost is $7.

This is a great way to get out of the house, hang with some great ladies, and surround yourself with inspiration, not to mention, get some scrapping done.

New Maya Road!

Today, we also received some new embellishments from Maya Road. They don't have all of their new product photos available online so here are just a few of what I have.

We got these in this pink, red, and brown.

We got these bing markers in brown and we also got the cutest little mini spools. They are so tiny. I love them.

These are the two stamp sets that we got. Love Love Love them both.

We also got two new sets of flowers, some precious cameo and portrait chipboard sets, and some cool kraft tags. Come by to get some!

I am working on the March calendar and hope to have it ready sometime this week. All of our crops/classes will be taking place at the end of the month because of Scrapfest.

Miss Ella Grace

Hey guys! I hope that you had a blessed weekend. I know that I did. This week has been so great. We got lots of great new product in, I got to spend some quality time with two of my favorite people for four days, and my newest little crush arrived on Thursday.

I know that this blog is supposed to be for the store, but, I am a proud Nannie and I must share with you our family's newest addition.

Meet Miss Ella Grace Guidry.

Ella is the daughter of my cousin Kasi. Kasi is the mom of Hayden and Madelyn (you know her as LuLu). Kasi is like a sister to me. The Guidrys asked Shane and I to be Nannie and Paran to little miss Ella and we are so honored.

The Guidrys are so important to Shane and I. We adore them and love them more than I could ever explain to you guys. They are such an important and huge part of our lives. I would have been lost without them this past year. Kasi literally held me together. The kids bring such a joy to our lives and we can never ever get enough of them. Jason is a great great guy and we enjoy spending time with them.

We were ecstatic when we found out they were going to have another baby and I, of course, was thrilled to have another girl to scrap.

Here are some photos from the past few days.

I was thrilled when Kasi and Jason asked me to share in the very personal moment of Ella's birth. It was a touching, once in a lifetime experience that I will treasure and forever be thankful for.

Ella's first few moments with her big brother and big sister. Those two are going to give her a run for her money. But, they will love her and protect her so much! They are already hooked!

Checking out Miss Ella. All itching to get our hands on her. I think LuLu will have to share her boyfriend because Shane is definately crushin on the new lady.

Umm yea this one definately melts my heart..like a lot.

Shane's love is so pure and geniune. He isn't very vocal or physical about it but he loves truly and deeply from the bottom of his heart. I think that Ella already has him wrapped.

Hey you guys. Today was an exciting day. I became a Nannie for the second time to another beautiful girl and Shane became a Paran for the first time. Little Ella Grace is our new godchild and I will post pics of her soon!

New Prima is here...well some of it!

Hey peeeps! Prima's new stuff is here. Well, some of it. About half of my order did not come in. I'm assuming it's on backorder, which is ridiculous since I ordered it at the show. However, i will not bash the companies on the blog. I just wish it would have all come in. Anyways, here is what we did get!

Yes I know such pretty little flowers. Love these. The lace is pretty AMAZE too. I can't wait to head home. I am feeling very creative for the second day in a row. So exciting. Yes, Yes, Yes, Yes, Yes, it's here! You know I am grinning ear to ear right now because it's here it's here! Sassafras has arrived. I came to the store this morning just to snipe out the UPS man's arrival for all of my, yes my, new Sassafras goodness. He got here and I was outta the door standing by his truck. It kinda scared him but hey, I'll do what I gotta do for my favorite products. He doesn't even realize the precious cargo that he carries. He must think, this crazee freakin lady is stalking me for a box of paper, c'mon. Anyways, I am putting it all in the system now and pricing it and putting it out. It will be ready for your fingers Tuesday morning. So, come and get it!

I will be waiting at the store for it because I can't stand to wait until Tuesday. I gotta get my hands on that stuff. Prima is scheduled to be delivered on Tuesday. Around the Store...

Lately, around the store, I have been making a couple of little changes and adding a few little things for the month of love.

I changed up the shelves. added things. moved things. dusted things. ewww.

I also made some little banners for the front windows with scraps of fabric. I am getting a little burnt out changing the windows for every holiday. So, I think for a while, we will just have banners!

I also added some heart garlands to the windows in the crop area and to the stove!

Speaking of garlands...here's an upclose of the ones on the shelves. I looooove them. They are puffy and pink and pretty. They were super easy to make and, now, I wanna put them everywhere!

I know that I have posted a ton of the new CHA releases lately. However, there are a few that I have yet to post. This CHA was definately not a let down when it comes to releases. I really felt like the companies got back down to basics and just created some really great stuff.

My favorite releases were Sassafras, Pink Paislee, and October Afternoon. October Afternoon's stuff is not up yet on their website, so, I can't post any pics of it. However, here are my two faves from Sassafras and Pink Paislee.

Here is Ellie's Tale from Sassafras. Their inspiration was a vintage children's book. What I love about them is that they pulled the colors and feel of a children's book instead of literally using a book page or pictures from a book.

I absolutely love this line. It is perfect for babies, girls, and boys!

Here are their new embellies called foldies. They are these precious flowers that you bend and and fold to add dimension. Super Super cool!

Another line that I am loving so much is Daily Junque from Pink Paislee and House of 3. Here's a lookie:

Umm yeah, these are chalkboard stickers. Taylor and I love these so much!

Lots of you are asking when all of this will be coming in. It all varies. Every company is different. There is also a BIG difference between when we are told it will ship and when it actually ships. Most companies have said that they will be ready to ship mid-end of February. The others are the beginning-mid March. There is one special company that will remain nameless that we have no clue when it's coming in. Your guess is as good as mine. If they uphold their reputation, it may be here by June! Lol! Gotta love em!

Taylor and I will be attending CHA (market) this week. Therefore, the store will be closed from THURSDAY, JANUARY 27TH-TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 1ST. I am sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. February Calendar

Here's the calendar for the month of February:

February 4th-6th: We are kicking the month off with a weekend crop. We will have the crop open on Friday from 11am-2am Saturday, Saturday from 10am-2am Sunday, and Sunday 11am-6pm. I will be giving away 2 big prizes for croppers. There will also be drinks and our regular prize pulling. If you sign up for the entire weekend, it is free. If you crop just one day, it is $7.

Saturday, February 5th: Join Michelle Gauthreaux for the Love Songs record class at 5pm. The cost of the class is $25. You can find more info and photos of the class under the tab at the top of the blog that says Love Songs Record Class.

Friday, February 18th: Make-n-Takes and Cupcakes Party. Join Taylor, Vera, and myself for a party filled with make-n-takes and cupcakes. Love Song class

Hey ya'll! I am excited to show you the class that will be taking place on Saturday, February 5th at 5pm. The class will be taught by the FAB Michelle Gauthreaux and will cost you $25. Here's a look at the class:

There's something about a love song. There's something about the look of a record. This class combines the charm of both. Join Michelle to create this lovely layout on an old record. The best part, you get to choose the name of your record. That's right, you get to customize the center of your record. You will use some great products and easy techniques to create this pretty little piece. You can hang this on the wall, put it on a plate stand, or just stick it somewhere in your home or office. It is a great way to showcase a song that you love and a photo of the person that has stolen your heart.

Cupcakes? Anyone

Okay so a few days ago I posted some precious pics of some delicious cupcakes. Some of you had guesses and a few of you were close. Here's what's going on:

That's right! We are having a Make-n-Takes and Cupcakes Party on Friday, February 18th from 6:30pm-8:30pm. I am so excited about this little event. Taylor, Vera, and myself have been brainstorming ideas on a cute little party that we could do in February and this is what we came up with. Yes, I know it is after Valentine's Day but we want to keep the love alive for the entire month of February. Here's how the party will work. It will be open to 15 people. It will cost $15 for the party. We will have a precious table set up with lots of pink cupcakes and candy and some vintage accents just to make it cute. We will have a table of inspiration set up too. All layouts and projects with a love theme. You will come in and complete three great Make-n-Takes with Taylor, Vera, and me! You will learn a couple of easy, fun techniques that you can use over and over again.

Well, I'm sure you wanna see what you will be making, so, here ya go!

Vera's Make-n-Take:

This is a different twist on a keepsake box. You will create a little keepsake cup from a Starbucks cup. This is a place where you can keep little notes or pics from your hunnie or your children. You will use collaging (don't think that's a word) techniques and get your hands dirty with gel medium and paint!

Taylor's Make-n-Take:

Taylor's Make-n-Take is a little hanger that you can put anywhere you want in your home. For her Make-n-Take the picture is definately the focus. You will learn a cool image transfer technique using some Hambly paper. Bring a picture of your hunnie or your little kiddos. Heck, bring a picture of an ex if you want. Taylor used a picture of her Mom and one of her Mom's past boyfriends. He! He! Hope her Dad's not mad. But, I do love the idea of an old dance photo. So cute!

My Make-n-Take:

My Make-n-Take is an altered wooden frame. I just love creating these frames. They are great for anywhere in your home. They are also good for giving as a little gift. Don't worry, if you don't want a Love theme, we will have lots of paint and die-cuts so that you can personalize your frame how you wish. We will use a cool painting technique with masking tape.

Oh and let me also mention that I will be giving one of THESE away!

My Scrapbook Company Boo has done it again!

Sassafras is my boo in the scrapbooking world, as was established the other day. Here is their first sneak at one of their new lines. The idea is for these papers to be a starting point to your projects and layouts. All i have to say is HELP ME LORD! I just absolutely love this!

I ordered this last night and I can hardly contain my excitement! I could not wait till CHA to order these two lines from Crate Paper. They are the cutest boy and girl lines I have seen in a while. I love love love them. The boy line is so cute I actually may scrap some boy pages. Anyways, they had some pre-show specials so I ordered last night. They start shipping February 23rd. Hopefully Inspire is one of the first shipments! Here's a look at some of it:

CHA sneek peaks

OH MY GOSH! Companies are finally starting to give us some peaks at what we will be seeing at the CHA winter show in two weeks. I am dying literally dying to see what everyone is releasing. I need some new scrapbooking goodness in my life. Here are two lines that I absolutely love. This first one is called Soulfood and it is from GCD studios!

A Successful Weekend

Hey! This weekend, Taylor, myself, Miss Jody, and Miss Meryl went to CCL in Baton Rouge. It is an event put on by the store out there called Memory Mania. It was a great event and such a fun time. We loaded up the car Thursday night and hit the road. The car was ABSOLUTELY full to the max. We went in an Expedition and barely had room to put our 4 bodies because of all of our scrap stuff. You always know it is going to be a great weekend when you can barely fit in the car. We had so much fun. I got a lot of creating done. I challenge you

2011 is here. So far, I am absolutely loving this year. The last two days have been absolutely perfect. Pure bliss. I am so thrilled about this year because I have lots of things planned for my life and for the store.

Now, I have a little challenge for you. I want you guys to participate in One Little Word 2011. If you have not heard of this, check out Ali Edwards' Blog. www.aliedwards.com One Little Word is this thing where you choose one word for the entire year. That word is supposed to be your inspiration for the year. You can scrap it throughout. You can blog about it every now and again. You can just use it to make your daily life a little bit better. This is such a great little challenge for the year.

If you check out Ali's blog. There is a list of words that you can use to pick yours. I actually have printed the list from last year and I often use it for page titles too! (Just a little tip!)

Time for Scrapping

Lately, I have been blessed with time for scrapping. Unbelievable huh?? It has been so nice to have my scrap stuff back at home and, surprisingly, I have had more time to scrap than usual. Here is a peek at some layouts that I have done!

So there are a few. I have plans to do more projects this weekend. I am going to decorate a little nook in the apartment with a love theme for February. I am not really a big Valentine's Day person but I am embracing new things this year.

Speaking of this year, I am also not a New Year's resolution person. I do not make new year's resolutions EVER! And, usually, I am not into everyone acting like the new year is a new start because I like to freshen up myself and my life as much as I can throughout the year. However, this year I am into the whole new year thing. This year, I am determined to make some BIG HUGE GINORMOUS changes in my life. I have lots of ideas for different things that I want to do and to not do. I also have little projects and other things that I want to create this year. I want to sorta get back to the basics in my life and start doing things that I used to get joy from that I have let slide the last couple of years. I am pumped for the new year and my new chapter. I think it will be a calm, lovely adventure.

So what are your plans tomorrow night? I'm pretty excited about mine. Three of my besties are coming over and we are having a cooking, champagne, wedding video kind of gathering. We are laying low in sweats and just spending some fun, quality time together. Shane is working so I'm ringing in the year with some pretty amazing peeps. I hope you have some great plans. I hope you are ready for 2011. I AM!

Things Happening in January!

Hey Guys! I hope that all of your holidays were magical and joyful. I hope you got everything that you wished for. I am so excited about the new year at Inspire. I am thrilled to have the wedding planning over and I am ready to bring some great things into our little scrapbooking world.

This month, we will be closed at the end of the month due to CHA. CHA is market in the scrapbooking world and Taylor and I can't wait to hop on the plane and head out to get some great product for the store. Since we will both be gone, the store will be closed. I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you. Just make sure to get in there and get what you need before we leave. Check the calendar for the days that we will be closed.

Keep checking the blog for new arrivals at the store because I have ordered a few mid-releases and we will soon be getting all of the CHA lines in the store. Also, we now have a SALE section at Inspire. Come in and get some product for a great price!

I am so excited to tell you that we are having a two day crop this month. Our Tacky Christmas Event was a huge hit in December and I am hoping to be able to have two and three day crops as often as I can this year. I know how much you all love packing up your stuff, getting a sitter for a couple of days, and having some lovely scrap time with some wonderful people. On Friday, January 14th and Saturday, January 15th we will be having a two day crop from 11am-2am the following morning. I know you all have some great Christmas pictures that you are dying to scrap. This weekend would be a great time to do that!

Also, I am teaching this month. I am excited about my class. I have always wanted to do a Year in Review layout and this month I did. Join me on Saturday, January 15th for my "Year In Review" double page layout class. You will love getting your entire year scrapped and I would love to see you there.

Be sure to have your credit card on hand when e-mailing or calling to sign up for the class. Remember, your spot is not saved until your class fee is paid!

Don't forget, we will be closed Thursday, December 30, Friday, December 31, and Saturday, January 1 for the New Year holiday! Everyone have fun and stay safe. Start the year of with a bang! Kick 2011's butt from Day 1!!!! I know I plan to!

Ho! Ho! Ho!

Merry Christmas guys! Hope it was magic!

I know mine was!

I have to take a moment to give God some glory. My mom went into the hospital on Monday for what is supposed to be a simple procedure. She was supposed to go home Tuesday. There were some very serious complications and we came close to losing her on Tuesday. She is home now and doing better. Praise God for keeping his hand on her. She is everything to me and my family and we are so blessed that she was kept protected by the big man!
